Special Edition: The Residents 30, September 2008
The thing that may impress some on and off fans of The Residents is how organic the album really is. This one is not as synth heavy as many of their previous albums and delivers a more sinister post punk sound that makes you cringe and swoon all at the same time.
In addition to the album release, The Residents have created a series of short films released on their website to help tell the story of The Bunny Boy. True to their nature, these films are eccentric and sometimes downright weird, but always interesting and worth the watch. With or without the video, this album is well worth listening to, as it’s packed with charm and playfulness executed the way only The Residents can.
